About this place
Transforming the richness of classic fresh patisserie into portable baked form is the signature philosophy behind TiMi, a bakery-cafe in Hanzomon. In the showcase, the specialty baked Mont Blanc draws upon rich roasted Tianjin chestnut cream and conceals a whole candied astringent-skin chestnut inside for a substantial, layered bite. The display continues with a baked tiramisu layering rich mascarpone batter around coffee ganache, a baked Sachertorte enlivened by tart apricot, and a baked lemon tea scented with house-made lemon confit—each tasting like a refrigerated gateau translated into a shelf-stable bake.
Beyond sweet bakes, TiMi also pays close attention to savoury meals. Lunch hours bring toasted hot sandwiches alongside sets featuring house-dressed green salads, pommes dauphine mashed potato fritters, and vegetable potages. Guests can settle into the basement dining space with the house blend coffee or hot Ceylon tea, or pick up a boxed lunch set to go.
Shelves carry everyday baked loaves, croissants, and bagels as well. Whether picking out gift-worthy sweets or sitting down for a satisfying midday sandwich, the counter adapts easily to the rhythm of the day.
